Frequently Asked Questions

The putty prepared using the cement base is referred to as a white cement wall putty. It is a wall finishing paste composed of finely ground minerals, white cement, and polymers which act to seal off the wall surfaces by filling up any pores, removing irregularities and correcting any pinholes in the plastered wall prior to painting. The Macaw Flexi Strong Cement Based Wall Putty takes advantage of this mixture to provide a smooth and hard surface that can be used in both new and old concrete or mortar substrates, distinguishing it from an acrylic putty that is lighter. In contrast to the acrylic putty which is water-based and is ready-to-use, the cement based putty has to be mixed with water before being applied through a putty knife or a trowel.

Application of wall filler putty involves the removal of loose materials from the surface of the wall using emery paper, putty blades, and wire brush and the removal of any dust or grease that might have formed on the surface. Macaw Flexi Strong Cement Based Wall Putty is then mixed by mixing the powder with water and not water with powder, stirring it well to get a consistent paste, and applying the paste within five hours because it will begin drying after that. The paste can be applied using a putty blade or steel trowel from bottom to top to reduce wastage. The first coat should be left to dry for four to six hours before applying a second coat. If another coat is required. It can be sanded once it has dried and primed after leaving it to dry for a night.

The wall putty that is made from cement is suitable for use both on newly constructed and already built concrete, mortar, and cement plastered surfaces inside as well as outside the building where a smooth and strong surface is required before proceeding with painting. Macaw Flexi Strong Cement Based Wall Putty says that it can be applied both to interior and exterior concrete as well as mortar substrates, and this means that the putty can be used almost on any masonry surface in a building except the non-cemented one like wood and metal, where other fillers should be applied instead. As far as painted walls are concerned, it is necessary to remove the old layer of paint before applying the compound, as the putty should work with concrete and mortar directly.

Certainly, wall filler putty which is cement based is made in such a way that it can be easily applied to cement, mortar and concrete surfaces which can either be newly constructed or can be painted surfaces that have been stripped off paint before. Macaw Flexi Strong Cement Based Wall Putty is one such example that can be used to achieve this effect, with the use of white cement and polymers which will adhere to the masonry surfaces and help in filling up the pores and even out the walls. For the cement wall to receive the putty, it should be clean without loose material, dust, grease and any biological growth like algae or fungus which will affect the adhesion of the putty. Hairline cracks should be filled with crack filler while interior primer should be applied both before and after putty.

Premium wall putty offers real practical benefits over skipping this step, mainly a smoother, more even surface that lets paint colour and sheen show at their best rather than fighting an uneven wall. Macaw Flexi Strong Cement Based Wall Putty fills fine pores, removes surface unevenness, and corrects pinholes in plastered walls, creating a tough, durable base that resists cracking better than an unputtied surface ever would. This translates into paint that goes on more evenly, needs fewer corrective coats, and holds its finish longer since it isn't sitting on an uneven or porous substrate underneath it. Premium formulations also tend to offer better working time and finish quality than basic putty, which makes the application process itself smoother for whoever's doing the painting. For anyone investing in a quality topcoat, pairing it with premium wall putty makes sure that investment shows.
