Frequently Asked Questions
The acrylic exterior wall primer with pore sealing and improved adhesion is usually the most effective exterior wall primer for the wide range of weather conditions typical of India. The Dura Fill Exterior Primer is the water-based product which can be applied to any cementitious substrates. It seals pores in the wall surface to improve the adherence of the top coat and its longevity. In comparison to solvent-based exterior wall primers, this product is easier to apply, it dries faster and remains environmentally friendly by low VOC levels. This product is suitable for both new construction and repainting as long as the substrate is thoroughly cleaned and dried prior to use. Approximately 100-110 sq. ft. is covered by one liter of this product in one coat, which may help when calculating the required quantity of the exterior primer price 20 liter packs.
Yes, indeed, acrylic primer is developed for outdoor purposes, making it an excellent option for use in such instances. Dura Fill Exterior Primer is one such primer: a water-based acrylic exterior primer, made specially for this purpose and used on exterior cementitious surfaces to seal pores and achieve good adhesion before painting the surface. Such acrylic primers are flexible, meaning that they can withstand expansion and contraction that come with varying temperatures and not crack into pieces, unlike their older counterparts made of alkyd. Furthermore, these products are less harmful due to reduced VOC content. The optimum conditions for using such primer include a clean and dry surface, proper drying time – usually four hours is enough – between coats.
The acrylic primer is used primarily to prepare surfaces, cement, masonry, or plaster, in particular for topcoat paint, by sealing pores and enhancing the adhesion of the final coat, giving it a smooth base on which to dry, instead of one that is rough and porous. Dura Fill Exterior Primer serves this function in preparing exterior walls, treating all cementitious surfaces to reduce porosity and increasing the adhesion of the wall to whatever emulsion or enamel is applied on top. It is also a water-based paint, which makes it easy to apply and clean up, as opposed to solvent-based paint that is much more difficult to manage, making it practical in addition to its technical uses. It is mixed with drinking water according to the required thickness and applied using brushes, rollers, or sprayers.
Adhesion Paint Primer is a type of primer whose purpose is to enhance adhesion of a painted surface and the paint applied on it. This is more necessary when painting surfaces that are porous in nature and thus do not hold paint very well. Examples include concrete and masonry. In case of exterior wall paint jobs, Dura Fill Exterior Primer plays this part. The purpose of using this primer is to seal the surface and ensure that adhesion takes place, making the top coat adhere well. Otherwise, it will peel off before time. This primer is needed wherever the state of the wall in terms of being new, repainted masonry or patch works may affect the paint adherence of the top coat. Lack of use of this product will cause the paint to bubble, crack or peel off after some time.
An acrylic exterior primer is a water-based preparatory coating formulated with acrylic resins, made to go on exterior masonry and cementitious surfaces before topcoat paint gets anywhere near them. Dura Fill Exterior Primer fits this description, offering good adhesion and pore-sealing properties across all cementitious surfaces while staying low in VOC and eco-friendly, the combination that defines this category of primer. Acrylic formulations tend to offer better flexibility and weather resistance than older, oil-based primer types, letting them expand and contract with the wall's temperature-driven movement without cracking. This suits India's climate well, where exterior walls face real heat during the day and cooling at night, plus heavy monsoon moisture on top of that. Applied correctly, with proper dilution and adequate drying time, an acrylic exterior primer creates the stable, sealed foundation that decides how well the final topcoat paint performs.
