Frequently Asked Questions
Metallic emulsion paint exists mainly to give a wall a reflective, shimmering texture that flat or matt paint just can't produce, no matter how good the base colour is. Aura Kraft Metallic Emulsion runs on a pure acrylic formulation built for that sparkling metallic finish, and it works across both interior feature walls and exterior facades, which is more flexibility than most metallic paint for walls actually offers. It gets used mostly on accent walls, entryways, or commercial spaces after some visual drama, rather than across an entire home, since a whole room of shimmer tends to feel like a lot rather quickly. On top of the look, this metallic texture paint also holds up to regular cleaning without losing its sheen, so it's not purely decorative. Being suitable for both interior and exterior paint use gives it real flexibility for anyone wanting a specific wall to stand out.
Metallic paint for walls is basically an emulsion loaded with fine metallic or pearlescent particles that catch light and reflect it, giving the surface a shimmering, dimensional look instead of one flat, uniform colour. Aura Kraft Metallic Emulsion gets this effect from a pure acrylic base built for a sparkling metallic texture, and it's rated for both interior and exterior walls, which is really the whole point of formulating it this way. Unlike a standard emulsion, it usually goes over a properly prepped, primed surface, often with an undercoat like acrylic wall putty plus a basecoat, so the metallic effect shows up evenly. It's typically used selectively too, on an accent wall or a design feature, since the effect tends to work better in moderation than spread across a whole room. With a semi-glossy finish and decent washability, it holds up fine in hallways that get touched a lot.
Metallic paint can work well on walls, particularly on accent surfaces where the goal is something eye-catching rather than understated. Aura Kraft Metallic Emulsion combines a semi-glossy metallic sheen with high washability, so it looks striking and actually holds up to regular cleaning without losing its shine, which is really the combination that makes it worth using over a purely decorative option. It suits both interior and exterior applications, giving some flexibility for feature walls indoors or select facade elements outside. Metallic paint for walls does tend to work best applied selectively rather than across an entire room, though, since the reflective texture can start to feel like a lot at full scale. Surface prep matters more here too; an uneven base shows through the metallic finish more than it would under a flat paint. Used with some restraint, it adds real depth to a space.
For walls that need to handle both interior and exterior conditions while staying easy to clean, the thing to check for is an emulsion that explicitly lists high washability alongside durable finish properties, not just washability on its own. Aura Kraft Metallic Emulsion fits that brief, offering high washability along with interior and exterior paint durability in one formulation, which covers spaces that get regular contact or need periodic wiping down. Its semi-glossy metallic finish also means grime tends to sit less stubbornly than it would on a fully matt surface, since the smoother sheen gives dirt less to grip onto. Coverage can vary by shade though, particularly with darker or richer tones, so it's worth checking product-specific rates before estimating how much you'll need. Whether it's a busy hallway or an exterior feature wall, a washable paint for walls saves a fair amount of maintenance effort over its lifespan.
Using metallic paint on walls starts with getting the surface properly prepped, since the reflective finish tends to show up unevenness more than it hides it. For Aura Kraft Metallic Emulsion specifically, that means a waterproof interior or exterior basecoat plus acrylic wall putty where needed, depending on the wall's condition, before the metallic coat goes on at all. The emulsion itself gets diluted with roughly 250 to 300ml of water per litre for brush application, adjusting a bit for darker base shades. Three coats generally give the best metallic effect, with four to six hours of drying time between each one to let the film form properly. Because this metallic texture paint reflects light differently depending on which direction you're brushing or rolling, keeping your application technique consistent across the wall matters; otherwise, you end up with visible streaking once everything's cured.
